Managing Director: Christopher Ford

chrisChris Ford has worked in television, public affairs and politics in a career which began with NBN Television in 1972. After several years as NBN’s news producer, Chris took on the role as Press Secretary to the Leader of the Opposition in Queensland. He returned to NBN in 1983 to set up the station’s teletext service.

In 1985 Chris Ford was appointed as Public Affairs Manager for Hunter Water, restoring the organisation’s reputation after the introduction of the User Pays rating system. After three years as Marketing Manager with Lend Lease Retail Chris then established his own consultancy in 1990.

Chris has won a strong reputation among regional media as a responsive and reliable source of information. He also has extensive experience in issues management, crisis management, and community consultation. Chris also established the Prime Television news service.

General Manager / Senior Consultant: Debbie Sims

Debbie is a Newcastle University Graduate with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and Graduate Diploma in Education (Dip Ed).

Debbie joined FordComm following a lengthy career with Hunter Water where she managed the Corporate Communications unit for over ten years.  Her strengths include media and government relations, issues management, crisis management and community consultation.


Designer: Lisa Crisafulli

Lisa joined the FordComm team in July 2003. She graduated with Honours in Design (Graphics) from the University of Newcastle. Lisa was a co-founder of a successful web design company before taking time off to start a family.

At FordComm Lisa specialises in web design and corporate branding, working with clients such as Peabody Energy, Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group, Yancoal and Trolley Services Australia.

Media Monitoring: Cameron Ford

camCameron is currently studying Arts and Law at the University of New England and has been with FordComm since mid 2007. His responsibilities encompass all duties pertaining to our media monitoring service.
