Third Newcastle Coal Terminal Expands

September, 2012

FordComm was recently engaged for the opening ceremony of Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group’s (NCIG) Stage 2AA. Guests were welcomed to site for tours, morning tea and the official opening ceremony, followed by lunch in the Hunter Valley.

FordComm was responsible for all aspects of event management, media consultation and guest liaison, as well as design for all print and digital collateral for the event.

Stage 2 was officially opened by The Hon. Duncan Gay MP, Minister for Roads and Ports.

FordComm continues to provide a range of communication services to NCIG, including community consultation, facilitation of the Community Support Program and a host of print and digital design.

Gloucester Coal Recruitment Banner

Gloucester Coal

Gloucester Coal’s Recruitment Team required a large pull-up banner to enhance their display for a national tour of university employment expos.

After considering a number of concepts, FordComm produced a banner that was visually engaging and communicated Gloucester Coal’s key message to University graduates.
FordComm produces a variety of printed artwork for Gloucester Coal including recruitment ads, banners, community support program adverts and sponsorship artwork.

Yancoal Style Guides

March, 2012

FordComm partnered with Australia’s largest coal-only company, Yancoal Australia to produce a series of corporate and mine style guides for their operations in Queensland, Western Australia and New South Wales.

The key objective of the Style Guide’s was to establish a set of standards for the writing and design of documents, to help ensure consistency was being met across all internal and external communications.

The Style Guide’s examine items such as logo variations, colour palette, typeface, email signatures, signage, images and specific templates for staff to use.

The corporate office and individual mines were presented with a printed Style Guide and a Resource Disk with individual templates and a full stationery suite.

Artemis: Volume 43 Number 1

FordComm is a long-term supporter of the Newcastle Region Art Gallery and has just completed the production of the latest edition of Artemis – the Newcastle Art Gallery Society magazine.

Artemis is a 24 page magazine print that is published biannually. The FordComm team were involved in the coordination of the layout and design of the publication which was sent to over 1000 members of the Society.

The February – June 2012 edition features articles on new acquisitions to the gallery, as well as details of upcoming exhibitions and the Art Gallery’s redevelopment.
